I offer a holistic approach to therapy, taking time to understand my clients and how their past experiences, relationships, successes, and obstacles all contribute to who they are today. The therapeutic process is not a quick fix, but rather a beautiful journey to healing and clarity about your life and how you want it to look and feel. I received a Bachelor of Sociology and Anthropology and a Master of Social Work from Valdosta State University. I then obtained a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia. I have worked with clients in various outpatient settings, including individual, group, and family. In addition, I have also provided community-based clinical therapy services in schools.  

 

One of my primary focus areas is working with adults and children impacted by trauma. My approach to trauma work is helping the client understand that they are not what happened to them and that they still have purpose despite the challenges that they have gone through.

 

In my practice, I apply a strengths-based approach for all my clients, as I have found that each client I have worked with has more to offer than they realize. I apply a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Play Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychoeducation, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
